Saving Our Daughters

Saving Our Daughters (SOD) is a non-profit organization founded by Curtis Benjamin and Keke Palmer. The organization eliminates social barriers that ultimately restrict students’ success in their daily lives as the organization utilizes influential celebrities to help mentor and educate girls beyond the borders of a traditional classroom. Utilizing celebrity mentors allows for girls of multicultural backgrounds to connect to programming in a unique way.
Supporting Girls of Color
Amen has been involved with SOD since 2015. As the LA Chapter Program Director, she has worked alongside Curtis Benjamin in implementing and building positive peer relationships, while strengthening self-esteem for the girls of the East LA Rising Club. She has guided discussions and programming that consists of: The Acting Program, Storytime Sessions Project and the Culinary Arts Program. Each sub-program provides unique programming that instills characteristics of self-esteem through the arts, entertainment, and virtual mentoring.
SOD will also be introducing their new health & wellness programming focusing on mental health for girls to deter low self-esteem, depression and girl on girl violence in schools.
