Be Refreshed, Renewed and Appreciated.

The Refresh Movement was founded in 2017 on the principles of 1 Thessalonians 5:11-13 under the vision of Amen Oyiboke. The event centers around honoring everyday people who consistently work to enlighten their communities through diverse ways of hard work, vision and hearts to serve. Each event features catered food, drinks, gifts for honorees. At the end of each event, guests are given cards with individual personalized messages that came from weeks of prior prayer and a maundy foot-washing service.

OUR MISSION

"Our lives can be a constant pouring out of sacrifices in work, personal endeavors, life and service to others. It's time for those sacrifices to be rewarded."

Our mission is to evolve the way we look at the phrase “be of service” and honoring others. Often times people who work and live in constant acts of service, feel overlooked and sometimes don't get the recognition they should. This movement will inspire people to have gratitude for people around them—no matter their social position. This type of humility brings forth profound life perspective.

OUR VISION

Our goal is to transform the way people look at the word "refresh". We will take initiative by setting a standard to ultimately help everyday people feel valued, by honoring who they are to the core. By creating this conversation amongst every day people, it will spark the important conversation about honoring one another and self-reflection on how to make others feel "refreshed."

THE GOAL

Refresh is all about reaching out to people from various walks of life, to shower the love of God on and through them. We don't put limitations on age, religious backgrounds, race, socioeconomic status or gender. Whether you’re Gen-Z, Millennial, Gen X or Baby Boomer, in our past events we’ve always had an inclusive environment. Our goal is to make sure everyone's inner light continues to have power.

HONOREES

Refresh Movement event "honorees" (also known as guests) come through recommendations from family, friends, the Holy Spirit and/or complete strangers who believe a particular person needs refreshing. There is no limit to who, when and where a person will be contacted to attend a Refresh event.

PLANTING SEEDS

Being "refreshed" goes beyond the event. Every month The Refresh Movement dedicates its time in making sure people are on the receiving end of being acknowledge by planting seeds of inspiration, random acts of kindness, love and peace in donating items, monetary seeds, gifts and time for those in need.
